Front Page News was a never ending house party, an extension of our collective living rooms.  Great food, strong drinks, good music & enough TVs that you never missed a game.  

Front Page News was Atlanta's favorite NOLA style patio bar from 1995 to 2019.

temporarily laid off or whose hours have been temporarily reduced because of a lack of work due to COVID-19. 

Employees must be expected to return to work when the COVID-19 emergency ends. 

They must also be United States (U.S.) citizens or non-citizens who are authorized to work in the U.S. 

Do NOT submit claims for employees who: 

are employed by a temporary agency and are currently working at your place of business. 

were employed in another state in the last 18 months. 

were employed with the federal government or on active military service in the last 18 months. 

are 1099 employees/independent contractors. are receiving retirement pensions from employers they worked for in the last 18 months. 

are voluntarily out of work, e.g., quit, requested leave of absence, self-quarantined, etc.

Your Termination date:

All employees were terminated on or before 12/31/2019. If you use a 2020 termination date your claim will be rejected.

Reason for termination:

If your last day was 12/31/2019 reason is:  Lack of work / business permanently closed 

If your last day was before 12/31/2019 use actual reason you quit or were terminated. 

DO NOT use COVID-19, your claim will be rejected.

 

FORMER FPN EMPLOYEES FILING FOR

UNEMPLOYMENT:

 

Some of you are having issues filing for unemployment.  GDL is telling some people who attempt to file that their employer must file for them.

This DOES NOT APPLY to people listing Front Page News II, LLC as their employer.

The department of labor informed that FPNII CANNOT FILE for employees who left FPNII before 3/12/2020

or for reasons other than COVID-19 employer obligation to file for employees applies ONLY to employees,

  "who are temporarily laid off or whose hours have been temporarily reduced because of a lack of work due to COVID-19."   

 

You were NOT laid off by Front Page News due to COVID-19.

You must file your own claim with GDOL.

Do not use the claims process for COVID-19 layoffs.

DO NOT TELL GDL you lost your job due to COVID-19 

DO NOT check job lost due to Covid 19 on any form related to Front Page News II employment.
